How to Define Coding Assessment?

You can assign candidates to the respective schedules. You can assign candidates to the respective schedules. The Eklavvya platform supports conducting online coding assessments in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, C#, Python, Go, JavaScript (Node JS), Kotlin, PHP, etc.



You can use Following steps to conduct a coding assessment

1. Define coding questions in the programming question bank.


Go to the Programming Question Section in the Admin Panel.

Here you can see existing predefined questions about programming languages. 

You can review it or add new questions by clicking on the "New Button."


Subject: You can select a suitable subject associated with the coding question.

Topic: You can define the topic associated with the question.

Select question type: You can select if you want a programming question or a SQL-related question. For Detailed Steps of SQL Coding Related Questions, Refer This Section

Problem: Define your problem statement or coding question.

Example: Provide some additional information with an example and an explanation of the code to be compiled by the candidate.


 

Functional Description: Define the functional description of the expected code.

Return: Define the output value to be generated from this coding.

Difficulty Level: Define the difficulty level of this coding question.


2. Define coding test cases with marks.


In this section, you can define the programming language of the code along with the test case criteria for its execution.

 

Each test case can have predefined success criteria (input, output, and marks).

The user would need to run those test cases after successful compilation of the code.

 

Notes for Test Cases:
1. If you have multiple input or output values, then separate them by a comma (,).
2. If you have a single input or output with multiple values, then separate them by a space ().


3. Define online assessments for programming.

 

Go to the Exam Creation section and click on the new button. The following screen would be visible:


While defining the exam, you can select the exam type as "programming exam." For other parameters of the online exam wizard, you can refer to this article about how to define Online Exam

 

4. Define the schedule of the online exam process.

You can define a schedule associated with programming or coding tests.


5. Assign candidates for the schedule.

You can assign candidates to the respective schedules.

 

6. Attempt the coding test.

The candidate can login to the system and appear for the exam as per the defined scheduled date and time.
